The Marlow Language Centre
We teach English as a foreign language, and foreign languages to English-speaking students. Our 50-language portfolio includes French, Spanish, German, Italian and Japanese. Our tuition clients include business people, private individuals, exam candidates, and school and college students.
We’re based in the historic, picturesque market town of Marlow, Buckinghamshire, just over the Thames from Berkshire and a short distance from London. We operate from a characterful converted brick-and-flint schoolhouse. Our training centre is fitted out with all the equipment you need to learn a language – and, more importantly, it’s home to a panel of qualified, experienced teachers. We can also arrange for our teachers to come to your business premises.
A language school is more efficient than teach-yourself methods. Our 30 years’ experience has shown us that people learn most effectively from the right kind of teacher. You learn best in a one-to-one environment or in a small, focused group.

Small, carefully chosen groups. You can benefit from the cost savings of group tuition without the problems that can arise from mixed-ability groups because we will not place you in a group with people whose ability is way above or below your own.
We are specialists. We are all language enthusiasts. Most of the people in our team originate from countries outside the UK or have lived extensively in other countries. Languages are all we do. We’re not a generalist teaching organisation.
A varied team of teachers. Our teachers are qualified in both linguistics and teaching. And we don’t just have one teacher for each language. For most languages we employ a number of teachers and, where possible, we have two or more teachers running a course so that you benefit from a variety of teaching styles.
Charming and convenient location. Marlow is a beautiful, semi-rural setting not far from London. And we offer you free on-site parking.
