At Marlow Language Centre you can learn Spanish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Russian or Portuguese – among others. You can even learn two or more languages, although for best results we'd recommend focusing on one at a time. If you’re interested in learning another language besides these mainstream languages please do get in touch as we should be able to arrange it for you – we offer a portfolio of 50-plus languages.
Choosing a course
You can choose from a range of learning options from one-to-one private tuition, to groups of up to eight participants. We can also make special arrangements for corporate clients – employees or managers or business owners who need to learn a language for business. We can help you choose the right course for you in your chosen language, based on:
- Your current level of proficiency
- The level you want to attain
- How soon you hope to attain that level
- What you’ll be using the language for
- The time you can realistically set aside per week
- Whether you prefer an intensive on a non-intensive approach
- Your budget
Your proficiency level
Of course, you have your own individual needs and we'll fully respect those needs when we tailor your learning programme to suit you. But to get the ball rolling we can probably more or less slot you into one of these broad categories:
- False beginner
- Upper intermediate
Our mission is simple: to help you to move to the next level of proficiency – and the next one again… By the way, "false beginner" means something like "elementary", in case you're not familiar with the term – some people may think of themselves as beginners but in fact they know more than they give themselves credit for. We'll make sure we build on anything you've learned in the past that you may have forgotten you knew.
Free initial consultation
We're happy to offer a free initial consultation. Or we can start you off with a single paid-for trial lesson so that you can meet our teachers and ask questions and see what you think of us. And we'll assess your level of ability and your learning goals so that we can recommend a programme that will work for you.
